I am an Australian interdisciplinary artist/activist/ecofeminist with Vietnamese heritage based in Bunurong land/ Southeast Melbourne, Australia.

From 2006 to 2012, I was also the founder and team leader of HanoiLink, an independent and underground artists group based in Hanoi. I work with themes like what it means to be human in a complex and changing world of migration and transformation and explore the future with thoughts about decolonisation,  nature,  AI,  and post-humanity.
As an activist and dissident with the communist government in Vietnam, I invest in protest art to contribute to achieving human rights and freedom where needed.

A Vietnamese Rinzai yogi and an Australian bush wanderer with a drifting identity.

My phonetic spelling name is How-are Nwin.

Why is Lemaleme?

Lề mà lề mề, in Vietnamese, is a word of complaint that means doing things slowly.

In a world that is spread thin and everything happens fast, Lề mà lề mề is a process that allows for deep thinking.
